About Me

Welcome to TrommTimes — my personal corner of the internet for random musings, deep dives, news commentary, and reflections on the world around us.

I’m Jason Trommetter, a software engineer by trade with a background in Unix systems, databases, and IT. A proud graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, I’ve spent decades in tech while nurturing a lifelong curiosity about how the world works — from the grand sweep of history to the latest breakthroughs in technology and space exploration.

What You’ll Find Here

This timeline is an eclectic mix reflecting my wide-ranging interests:

  • History & Politics: Especially American founding principles, the Bible’s influence on Western liberty, revolutionary stories, and current events through a Christian libertarian lens.
  • Economics & Technology: Insights on innovation, free markets, software, and the systems that power modern life.
  • Space: Passionate coverage of humanity’s multiplanetary future, SpaceX milestones, Artemis, and beyond.
  • Food & Everyday Life: Reviews, recipes, local SC finds, and the simple joys that make life rich.
  • Faith & Culture: Biblical reflections, public courage in the marketplace of ideas, and how timeless truths apply today.

Whether it’s Carolina Day heroics with palmetto logs, a new donut review, SpaceX creating thousands of millionaires, or lessons from the Apostle Paul in the lecture hall of Tyrannus, TrommTimes is where I connect the dots between past, present, and future.

Why TrommTimes?

Life is too interesting to silo into one topic. As a husband, father, Army veteran, backyard birdwatcher, and part-time photographer living in the York County, South Carolina area, I believe in engaging ideas openly, seeking truth, and celebrating American resilience and ingenuity. This site is my contribution to the ongoing American conversation as we head toward America 250 and beyond.

Thanks for stopping by. Dive into the timeline, share what resonates, and feel free to connect. Let’s reason together — in the spirit of those daily discussions in Tyrannus.
