Reassessing America’s Focus on Education and Pronouns

This is an interesting opinion piece from Rahm Emanuel, former mayor of Chicago and Obama’s Chief of Staff.

We’ve spent the past five years debating pronouns without noticing that too many students can’t tell you what a pronoun is. The U.S. has been more focused on whether a school is named for Abraham Lincoln than whether students can tell you why he is an American giant. We’ve become so obsessed with bathroom access that we’ve ignored classroom excellence. America has lost the plot.

Agility Ball

My son is learning a trade he intends to use when he graduates. If he goes to college at all it will be part-time for a technical degree.

This word isn’t just for today. It applies to anyone who still believes in Fauciism and any healthy individual still wearing a mask.

Back to the Grind

Aaaand it’s back to school! I had a great Christmas break, but now it’s time to jump headfirst into reality. Let’s make 2019 a good one!

Word of the Day

A great word for today since I’m sure a lot of people were behindhand for church due to the time change.

behindhand: adverb, adjective; late; tardy.

Who’s Missing?

Who’s Missing From America’s Colleges? Rural High School Graduates

The liberal elitist attitude of those in the media is showing. They don’t consider that in rural communities young people are training for well-paying jobs that don’t require a college degree? Car mechanics, electricians, plumbers and even some health care workers don’t need a four-year degree.
