I supported a Kickstarter campaign for a REO Chef Knife a few months ago. It&#8217;s 33 layers of premium Damascus steel on each side; the cutting core is VG10 high-carbon steel with an extremely sharp edge. Why did I want such a fancy knife? My wife and I often watch Forged in Fire on the Discovery channel, and I&#8217;ve said, &#8220;I&#8217;d like a knife like that one&#8221; more than once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/298262371\/this-knife-unlocks-countless-culinary-possibilities\/description\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kickstarter campaign<\/a> was my chance to get a professional-grade chef knife at a reasonable price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first thing I did after unboxing was to try and shave some hair off my arm. LOL. It worked! Next up, try to slice some fruit or vegetables. I cut a lemon and got slices so thin you could see through them.
