I've made it to week 13. Excitement is building as I can see my body slowly changing in form due to pregnancy. The "yuck" feeling I think is slowly subsiding and I am not nearly as tired as just a few weeks ago.
Last weekend I bought myself some shorts to help get me through this hot weather before having to truly buy maternity clothes. One of the pairs is light pink in color. Saturday I had on a top that was light green and lavender and when I came downstairs to model my new shorts Rachel brightly tells me "mommy, you look like an Easter Egg." Just a little humor along the way.
It is interesting to notice how things that once did not bother me much before being pregnant really get on my nerves now. Our dog's barking is one thing that just sends me reeling. Another is the door bell ringing so much. Rachel's friends ring the door bell all day long. I am glad she has many playmates though.
The last thing is that I will walking once again in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. It is a 3 mile walk so I need to start getting into shape now so it will not be a real chore to walk that far.
